EDMATH 1 Teaching Mathematics in the Primary Grades 3.0 3L This course equips prospective primary grade teachers with essential pedagogical content knowledge for teaching basic mathematics. It covers key concepts in number sense, operations, fractions, measurement, geometry, patterns and algebra, and statistics and probability. Emphasis is placed on the use of technology, problem solving, critical thinking, and real-life applications through varied teaching approaches such as inquiry- based learning, differentiated instruction, and the use of mathematical tools.
ELEC 1 Teaching Multigrade Classes 3.0 3L This course deals with theories, principles and concepts of multi-grade classes and learners. It includes pedagogical approaches and contextualized learning environments for the different age levels grouped for instructions in different school situations.

EDARTS 1 Teaching Arts in the Elementary Grades 3.0 3L This course shall equip the pre-service teachers with technological, pedagogical and content knowledge to have an adequate skill necessary to teach art effectively to diverse learners. In this course, elements in arts which form part of the curriculum content of Art Education, the appropriate teaching strategies and assessment methods will be given emphasis. Carrying out art education activities and experiences, skill and artistry in teaching, finding and utilizing appropriate art resources, planning and teaching a lesson to an entire class shall form part of the authentic and experiential activities of the course.
